We are hiring for an in-office & on-site technician with experience in hardware & troubleshooting software.
Looking for IT support technician with a background in networking, windows servers/desktops, computer hardware, customer service, and remote support. We are a small business that provides IT support for small businesses and we provide residential computer repair.
If you like the small office work environment then this might be a good fit for you.
Work hours are 8 to 2 Monday – Friday. (extra hours available on Saturday)
Morning hours involve servicing our main welcome counter for walk-in clients, troubleshooting computers in our workshop.
In the afternoon going on-site when needed for support to consumers & small business clients.
skills must include the following:
- customer service
- Basic knowledge of small business server operating systems
- networking fundamentals
- Must know hardware basics of desktops & laptops
- communication port forwarding
- virus removal
- Problem-solving new issues
- sufficient hardware knowledge to upgrade and replace computer components
- comprehension of services and registry
- Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10
- basic small office duties
- physically capable of getting under desks to hook up cables and carrying desktops and servers
Must be a friendly “people person” who can instantly convey confidence to a person they have never met before. Must be someone who NEVER gives up on a problem, and knows when the time is right to find the best workaround to solve a problem.
Knowledge of RMM Tools like MaxFocus/SolarWinds is a PLUS
$15-17 an hour – 30 hours a week
(commission available after 30 days)
