Do you fix Macs as well as Windows computers?
Yes. All brands. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Apple MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and custom-built desktops. Same flat-rate process applies to everything: diagnostic, quote, your approval, then the repair.
Can you recover data from a crashed hard drive?
In many cases, yes. Data recovery starts at $199. The earlier you bring it in after a failure, the better the odds. We operate on a no-data, no-charge basis, if we can't recover your files, you won't pay for the attempt.
Is my data safe at your shop?
Your device stays in our Somerville shop the whole time. We don't subcontract repairs or ship to third-party centers. All work is done by Dave himself in-house. If a part needs to be ordered, your machine stays with us until everything's done.
What if my computer isn't worth fixing?
We'll tell you honestly. If the repair cost approaches what the machine is worth, we'll say so, and tell you what we'd recommend instead. You pay the $75 diagnostic fee and leave with a clear picture, not a big bill on a machine that was already on its way out.
