No. I don't do single-key repairs on HP laptops. The repair is a full HP keyboard replacement, which is what lasts, and every key types the same afterward.
Do you repair EliteBook and ProBook keyboards for businesses?
Yes. EliteBook 840 and ProBook 450 keyboards are regular repairs here, especially on laptops used all day for work. Drop them off at the shop; business clients can also ask about on-site support.
My HP keyboard types the wrong letters. Is it broken?
Sometimes it's a setting or driver, sometimes the keyboard itself. The diagnostic separates the two before any part is ordered, so you only pay for a keyboard if you need one.
I spilled a drink on my HP Pavilion. What should I do?
Power it off, unplug it and bring it in. Don't keep testing it. Liquid can reach the board under the keyboard, and the diagnostic checks both before I quote.

My HP keyboard backlight stopped working. Can you fix it?
Yes. It's either a setting or a keyboard that's failing, and the diagnostic tells which. If the keyboard is the cause, the replacement includes a working backlight on models that have one.
How long does an HP keyboard replacement take?
If the keyboard for your model is on hand it can be quick. Otherwise I order the exact part and give you a timeline with the quote. Rush service is $100 extra.
Do you fix HP touchpads too?
Yes. See my laptop trackpad repair page. A raised HP touchpad often means a swollen battery, so stop charging it and bring it in.
