From the train station you cut across town to Route 440, which turns into I-287 North and carries you most of the way.
From the Perth Amboy train station (NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line)
- From the station, take Elm Street to Smith Street and turn left. Follow Smith Street about a third of a mile.
- Turn right onto Goodwin Street, which becomes the Route 440 Connector. This runs about 0.8 miles.
- Turn right onto Florida Grove Road, then left onto New Brunswick Avenue. Together they're about a mile.
- Take the ramp for US 9 South, then almost right away bear right for Route 440 South toward Raritan Center.
- Stay on Route 440; it becomes I-287 North. This is the long stretch, about 15.5 miles. You'll pass Exit 10 for Easton Avenue and Exit 13 for Route 28; keep going.
- Watch for Exit 14B, US 22 West toward Clinton. It exits on the left side of the highway, so get into the left lane ahead of time. The ramp is about 0.6 miles long.
- Stay on US 22 West for roughly 1.6 miles and exit to the right. The ramp is brief and lets you out by Grove Street.
- Keep right onto Grove Street and then keep right onto Ivanhoe Avenue. You're on each for well under a quarter mile.
- Make a left onto North Bridge Street. Go south for about 0.7 miles.
- Our driveway is on the right at 75 N Bridge St. Look for the blue arrow sign at the curb, pull into the private lot and check in at the kiosk inside.

The shop is inside a commercial office building on North Bridge Street, not somebody's spare bedroom. Look for the big gray-shingled building with the stone front and tall brick chimneys.
