Directions from Edison to Our Somerville Shop
From the Edison Memorial Tower you take Route 27 to New Durham Road, then let I-287 North carry you most of the way to Somerville.
From Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park (Edison Memorial Tower)
- Head out on Christie Street and turn right onto Lincoln Highway (Route 27). Christie Street runs about 0.2 miles to Route 27, where you turn right.
- Stay on Route 27 for about 2.4 miles. Lincoln Highway becomes Middlesex Avenue along the way; it is the same Route 27, so just keep going straight.
- Make a right onto New Durham Road (County Route 501). Follow it for about a mile, then take the ramp on the right signed for I-287 North.
- Take I-287 North for about 10.9 miles. This is the long stretch. You pass Exit 10 (Easton Avenue) and Exit 13 (Route 28, Somerville and Bound Brook) along the way.
- Take Exit 14B, signed US 22 West toward Clinton. The ramp leaves from the left side of the highway, so start moving over early. It runs about 0.6 miles before merging onto US 22 West.
- Follow US 22 West for about 1.6 miles, then exit on the right. The exit ramp is short and drops you near Grove Street.
- Bear right onto Grove Street, then bear right again onto Ivanhoe Avenue. Both are brief: about 0.2 miles on Grove Street and about 0.1 miles on Ivanhoe Avenue.
- Swing left onto North Bridge Street. Head south on North Bridge Street for about 0.6 miles.
- Pull into our driveway on the right, 75 N Bridge St. A blue Dave's Computers arrow sign points the way in. The lot is private, so park in any open spot and head inside to the kiosk.
A Real Office, With Our Own Parking
We work out of a commercial office building on North Bridge Street, not a spare room in someone's house. It's the large gray-shingled building with the stone front and the tall brick chimneys.
- Find the blue arrow sign. Our Dave's Computers sign sits at the curb right at the driveway entrance.
- Pull into the private lot. Follow the driveway along the left side of the building to the parking lot. Parking is free.
- Look for our windows. Our entrance is in the single-story wing facing the lot, with Dave's Computers signs in the windows.

When is the $75 refunded?
When you hand us the drive directly (a bare drive, external drive, USB flash drive or SD card) and we can't recover your data, the diagnostic is refunded. If the drive has to be removed from a laptop or desktop, that removal is labor, so the diagnostic isn't refunded even if recovery isn't possible.
How long does it take?
The standard diagnostic takes 2 to 3 days. We also offer rush service, and we'll go over it with you in person at drop-off.
